When I am writing sex scenes in novels or short stories should I tone it right down? Leave out the kinky?
no kinky stuff...go mainstream. Would I have a better hope of getting published if I tone down the sex and violence? Obviously it would be more fun to go hard out but I could tone it down esp if it means targeting a wider audience.

to start out with maybe if u want to, but don't force it. i say the more details the better. lol. it depends on ur publisher i guess thouhgh, and who exactly u want as an audiance and the main focus of the book. if it's not a sex book type thing, then u might want to tone it down a bit so it's not so much of a big thing, but if it plays a major rule in the book then keep it as it is. ^_^
